Tax calendar: its meaning and application
The tax calendar provides an overview of the specific timing of on-time tax and insurance payments.
It includes the tax liabilities of both individuals and legal entities and employees, i.e. draws attention to the timing of the payment of taxes.
The tax calendar, which is permanently available on the website of the Ministry of Finance, sets deadlines for taxes such as income tax, value added tax, road tax, excise taxes, real estate tax, energy taxes, and, for example, contributions to the pension insurance fund, as well as other taxes and contributions. We meet our clients halfway, so we will take over the management of your tax calendar and will inform you in advance what and when to pay. We will inform you in advance of the due dates for the payment of taxes.
Tax calendar and liberalization period
With the new Tax Code, which came into force in 2011, there have been changes that are important for the timely filing of income tax returns. The timing has also changed, which is somewhat more favorable for latecomers in comparison with what was before. The Tax Code allows a delay of 5 working days with the submission of the declaration, as well as with payment. During this so-called “liberalization period” no penalties in the form of fines or penalties are envisaged. However, if the tax return is filed at the wrong address and is sent to a different address, and such a forwarding exceeds the liberalization time, the taxpayer may be subject to sanctions from the financial department.
Although we do not use such a liberalization period, we are guided by the current tax calendar and process all taxes at set dates. This admission is valid not only in the case of income tax, but also in the case of other taxes. An exception is the VAT control report, which does not apply to the specified liberalization period.
